The human footprint has been placed on Earth for a relatively short period of time.  Much of that time has been lived in harmony with the Earth.  In just the last 100 years that footprint has left a heavy impression, Mother Earth and humankind have both felt the effects.  Toxic chemical pollution is the legacy we now hand generations to come. Most importantly, in our great leap forward many in the developing world have been left behind.

We now stand at a crossroads in human development.  It is at this point that humans have achieved the knowledge and power to feed and provide comfort for every person on Earth.  Yet, do we have the will to carry out these most necessary of steps?
